Evermusic
Evermusic is a powerful cloud music player and library manager that turns your iPhone, iPad, or Mac into a full-featured streaming and offline music system. It works with the cloud accounts and NAS you already own, plays virtually every audio format your device can decode, and gives you a deep audio engine (10-band equalizer, crossfade, gapless, spatial audio, pitch correction) on top.
Available in two editions: Evermusic (free, ad-supported) and Evermusic Pro (paid, no ads, full feature set). Lifetime, monthly, and yearly Premium plans on the free edition unlock the same feature set; both editions share purchases between iOS and Mac via iCloud and Family Sharing.
Your Music Everywhere
Evermusic lets you build your own cloud music streaming system — just like Spotify, but without any limits. Connect any combination of sources and stream or download tracks on demand:
- Personal cloud accounts: iCloud Drive · Google Drive · Dropbox · OneDrive · Box · MEGA · Yandex.Disk · pCloud · MediaFire · WD My Cloud Home · InfiniCLOUD (TeraCLOUD) · HiDrive · OpenDrive · MyDrive · Put.io · Cloud Mail.ru · Icedrive · Koofr · Proton Drive · Internxt · AliDrive (阿里云盘) · Baidu Pan (百度网盘).
- Self-hosted servers and media libraries: Plex · Jellyfin · Emby · Subsonic (and every Subsonic-compatible server — Airsonic, Funkwhale, Gonic, Logitech Media Server, Ampache) · Navidrome · Nextcloud (and Owncloud, via the shared API) · Synology Drive · QNAP.
- NAS and file-share protocols: SMB (SMB1, SMB2, Auto) · WebDAV (HTTP / HTTPS) · FTP / FTPS · SFTP (SSH File Transfer Protocol, password or public-key auth) · NFS · DLNA / UPnP (playback and download). Works with Apple Time Capsule, Synology, QNAP, WD My Cloud Home, Buffalo, any Linux Samba / NFS / SSH host, or a shared folder on your Mac or Windows PC.
- S3-compatible object storage: AWS S3 · Backblaze B2 · Wasabi · Cloudflare R2 · MinIO · DigitalOcean Spaces · Linode Object Storage · IBM Cloud Object Storage · any S3-API endpoint.
- Local-network discovery: the Available devices section auto-lists every Bonjour / mDNS device on your Wi-Fi — Plex, Jellyfin, Emby servers, Synology, QNAP, AirPort routers with attached drives, Time Capsule — so you can tap to connect without typing an IP.
- Device and external sources: the iPod / Apple Music library (non-DRM tracks), files in the system Files app (other apps, external SSDs, mounted folders), USB flash drives via Apple Certified card readers and iXpand Flash Drives, Wi-Fi Drive (drag-and-drop in a desktop browser), and iTunes / Finder File Sharing over a USB cable.
That’s 30+ source types in one app. Once your music is in the cloud, you can play it anywhere, anytime, with the same library on every device. Backup & Restore lets you snapshot the whole library to a single file and import it on another iPhone, iPad, or Mac in seconds.
Smooth Playback
Evermusic uses smart preloading and a configurable playback cache to make songs play smoothly even over slow connections. Smart streaming uses AVAssetResourceLoader so playback starts instantly while the rest of the file downloads in the background. You can also download Albums, Artists, Playlists, or individual songs to listen offline — and if storage gets tight, simply delete cached files and keep streaming from the cloud.
Easy Music Sorting
When you add songs to Evermusic, the background metadata reader parses each file and builds a clean Music Library sorted by Songs, Unplayed Songs, Albums, Album Artists, Artists, Genres, and Composers. Albums have three sub-views: All Albums, Exclusive Albums, and Solo Albums so compilations and same-named albums by different artists don’t collide.
Fix Song Info Easily
If song titles or album info are wrong or missing, don’t worry. Evermusic includes a built-in tag editor that lets you fix metadata in seconds. You can update title, artist, album, album artist, year, genre, and album cover, plus normalize broken encodings (Cyrillic or Asian text that appears garbled) with one tap. The editor uses MusicBrainz to auto-find missing tags and album artwork.
Simple File Transfers
Sending music from your computer to your iPhone or iPad is easy. Evermusic supports SMB, WebDAV, FTP / FTPS, SFTP, NFS, DLNA, Wi-Fi Drive (drag-and-drop in a browser), iTunes / Finder File Sharing (USB cable), and direct downloads from any connected cloud account. You can also connect Apple Time Capsule, WD My Cloud Home, Synology, QNAP, Buffalo, or any other NAS that exposes one of those standard protocols, without using up device storage.
Powerful Sound Controls
Evermusic includes a full 10-band audio equalizer with iPod-style presets (Acoustic, Bass Booster, Classical, Dance, Electronic, Flat, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Latin, Loudness, Lounge, Piano, Pop, R&B, Rock, Small Speakers, Spoken Word, Treble Booster, Vocal Booster), a preamplifier for quiet tracks, exportable and importable custom presets, and RMS-based loudness calculation. Add crossfade playback (1–15 sec), gapless playback, spatial audio, pitch correction, and CoreAudio output up to 384 kHz mono or stereo, and you can tune the sound exactly the way you like.
Great for Audiobooks
If you listen to audiobooks, podcasts, or recorded lectures, Evermusic is perfect. You can add multiple bookmarks per track, resume from the last position automatically, change playback speed from 0.02× to 3× (with a precise slider mode), set a sleep timer with custom intervals, and view comments, embedded lyrics, and LRC files on the same screen.
Works Everywhere
You’re not limited to your phone or tablet. Evermusic also works with Apple CarPlay (iOS-only target, optimized for the car UI), AirPlay 2 (stream to multiple speakers simultaneously), Google Cast / Chromecast, Lock-Screen widgets, Now Playing controls, Last.fm scrobbling (auto-send playback to your Last.fm account for stats and recommendations), and Mac keyboard shortcuts. So whether you’re home, in your car, or traveling, your music is always with you.
